The basement area here was quite large, so the homeowner wanted to add a bedroom and closet making the remaining space more cozy.

Here the framing is in, electrical re-routed for light switches and a protion of the drywall installed.

Now, a picture of the work from inside the new bedroom showing the dividing wall with the French doors and new closet area.

Now a look at the room from the remaining basement living space to the new bedroom. the French doors were salvaged from a home and stored until the right project came along and this is it! The bedroom side were painted and the living space side was left along to show off the cherry wood.
